EDUCATION & PROTECTION
Education is the key to sustainable nature conservation. You can’t accuse someone of throwing plastic in nature, like the banana leaves that were used before, if they don’t know the effects of it. And one cannot assume from the local farmers the ecological understanding that after several years of fire and burning of the same area the climatic and soil conditions deteriorate to their disadvantage. All of this needs education!
From the point of view of sustainability in particular, it is important to jointly develop and disseminate efficient and long-term protection concepts and perspectives so that a general understanding of the matter arises, this knowledge is spread and passed on to future generations.
The ecological development approach is only successful if the local communities have internalised the knowledge and ambitions and see themselves as self-determined and responsible for their surrounding nature.
