Water & Waste Management
Water is the most precious resource on our planet. Only around 3% of the world’s water resources are relevant to humans. Pollution, overexploitation and the increasing demand for freshwater in our growing population are already leading to crises and wars in many places. Therefore, a sustainable management of this scarce resource is essential to combat the increasing water shortage.
The aim of water management is to use existing water resources more sustainably and to avoid pollution of the water.
In relation to the decrease in freshwater, the amount of garbage produced worldwide rises in an uncontrolled manner with serious consequences for the environment and people. Effective waste management, that starts preventively to avoid waste and also offers solutions for its fixation and recycling, is essential for the fight against global environmental and water pollution.
